I wasn’t terribly good at it though, so when I took it to fulfill the PE requirement at SJCC I regularly got paired with a girl who I legitimately suspect had some kind of mental handicap, though certainly not any physical handicap. We spent most of most classes batting the birdie back and forth without really playing the game of badminton.
It took a while, but I finally found a way to do a callback to the thing in Chapter 1 about Sylvia being “banned from the future.”
I did kinda go nuts with How I Met Your Mother when I first started watching it. I heard about it because of a story in The Onion, and binge-watched the first few seasons and then started following it regularly. Now it’s finally over.
