I did finally go through with finishing the Kurumi arc as planned, apart from having originally planned to do it all in 4-koma format. There wasn’t any head injuries or insanity or anything like that, but creating/discovering Kurumi was a turning point for me, and, not to put too fine a point on it, let me start to somewhat undo a couple decades of repressing emotions.
The kitten here is loosely based on one of our actual cats, named Gabriel, though he was just a cat that showed up at the Unitarian Church and was in need of a home right when we were feeling like having a second cat.
Have I mentioned that waiting an indefinite amount of time for something to happen is about my least favorite thing ever?

Kitty 2.0’s hairstyle would evolve a bit as I got the hang of drawing it, but I really liked it as a clear expression of her having reached a turning point in her life.
