Jon/Calico always seemed to live a very dramatic life, usually stuff that I only heard about later. This was sort of what I imagined it would be like.
Mr. Mog was based on my family’s other cat, a big friendly tomcat who liked to sniff shoes.
Arlene and Mog did not get along all that well.
Michael apparently really did get out of a fight this way once.
Bonus Stuff
This is Suichi’s art of someone’s Phantasy Star Online character, though I’m not totally sure whose.
Hey Frank. (His shirt says “I want to be Japanese.”)
Here’s a grainy photo of Arlene.
And here’s a photo of Mog. He died a while back. I still miss him sometimes.
Naturally he was a Megatokyo fan.
Suichi was not big on drawing comics, but he felt the need to draw this for some reason.
Double standards.
At the time Hulk Hogan was making one of many returns to the WWE, and as I recall in the storyline he’d been barred from competing, so he showed up as “The American” or some such, and the WWE site had an image of the two side-by-side saying “Look! They’re nothing alike!” so this was a take off of that for some reason.
